Beneath a Small Arch - N - (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> - - S - A 20 foot high corbel arch stands here, at first glance the arch resembles the work you have seen repeated throughout the palace, however the lower level portion of it are filled capriciously with geometrical shapes used purely as a ornamental function. Blocking the view to your east is a large doric order column. It is one of the six that holds the structure together and darkens the hallway considerably. The marbled corridor continues north and south. A Diocletian scholar who studies law, reads a manuscript before you.
