You are at a gnome digger's abode.  You look along the wall to see a
large map of Vesuvius, showing all of the tunnels.  However, the map is cut
off abruptly at the mantle.  The tunnels have gotten infested with so many
demons, fewer and fewer gnome miners dare to dig down lower.  The tunnels
have been lost with generation.  In the corner of the room is a cot, with a
big spade sitting on top of it.  In the other corner sits a pick-axe and a
chisel.  Perhaps the Gnome Digger can offer some advice, they don't appear
to be home at the moment however.  
   A small note has been left on the table.
