You are before a fiery altar.  You shriek as the altar surges with
violent flames.  The walls reflect the light back onto you almost blinding
you.  You wonder what such an altar is for.  Strange things happen in
Vesuvius you imagine, and you begin to think you are not alone.  You wonder
what could happen if someone got too close to the altar.
