You are standing on a creaking wooden dock, set into a small inlet on a
tiny island.  Rising before you, a stone walkway leads to a magnificent
building, unique in architecture and design.  Towering black, iron gates bar
the walkway halfway up to the entrance of the retreat.  Off in the shadows
of the building to your right, you see a series of tall, lush green hedges,
neatly trimmed.  To the left of the hotel is a smallish basalt mountain,
gleaming in the light.  A fleeting shadow passes across the sky, sending a
chill through your soul.  What secrets lie buried in this deserted demesne?
