You are standing on the edge of a deep ravine filled with water.  While
you briefly consider jumping down to continue on your way, the sharp rocks
at the bottom quickly change your mind.  You can see a tower of some sort
rising out of the forest on the northern part of the island, but there is no
way to reach it from here.
