You find yourself in a circular stairwell that appears to have been
carved magically out of the stone.  There is an almost unnatural sheen to
the walls and steps that reflects light from an unknown source.  The air
here is warm and fresh, as if there is ventilation to keep the air
circulating through the lower levels of the caverns.  The second level of
the Ghering Caverns begins to the east.
