Upon entering this room, you are aware of the attention to detail that is
paid to this entire castle.  An expanse of purple carpet sweeps from north
to south, covering the floor of the foyer.  Crystal lamps shaped in the
forms of alluring water nymphs suspend from the ceilings.  Originally known
for its dungeons, the keep is now famous for its collection of great artwork
for on the walls to the side of the foyer are paintings done by some of the
best artists in Alyria.  From oil paintings of council meetings to portrait
sketches of the king, each captures the mood and expressions of the subject
so accurately that you can almost visualize each painting coming to life
before your eyes.
