Directly to the north stands a small wooded barn filled with huge piles
of hay.  The barn has been built of wood and painted a deep red; it seems
very snug and sturdy.  Above the front door on the upper level a small
window with a flickering light can be seen.  The yard extends to the south,
and the back entrance to the inn can be seen.  Paths lead off to the west
and east.  
A plump chicken clucks lightly as it pecks at the ground for food.
