Ash trees planted haphazardly along the side of the road cast their great
shadows over the village of Colyon.  Inhabited by refugees from the great
underground city of Arien'dyth, shadows play a significant role for the drow
citizens of this quiet hamlet.  The air is alive, populated with the
noisiest creatures about.  Flocks of sparrows chitter within the branches of
the tall trees, frequently casting about for food, or chased off by rival
flocks.  The lane continues westward, while back east leads to a
precarious-looking rope bridge across the Wampo.
