The paved road that runs the length and breadth of the village splits off
here, continuing on west-, northeast- and southeastward.  Various buildings
can be seen between the trees off of the path west, and southeast, while the
road continuation northeast leads to nothing visible except the source of
the thick black smoke that rises over the treeline.  Right here, there is
the stoop and entryway to a small log cabin.
