You walk through a small patch of trees and are halted by a number of
vines dropping from the branches, and attaching themselves to your head,
choking you and draining your thoughts as well.  They break free of their
own accord and now hang in front of you, ready to do battle.

A vine that seems to have more purpose than the others moves to a new position.
A spacially distorted ghost image of a strangle weed floats around.
An undead weed attempts to latch on and suck the life out of you.
A long vine merrily taunts you from a nearby tree.
This particular vine seems ta be whispering to you telepathically.
