Entering into the base of the servant's stairwell, west is a small
parlor, and to the south is the dining room.  The lingering smell of long
ago repasts and banquets wafts past one's nose, but an unusual silence
permeates the air throughout.  The rails have been polished to a reflect
what little light there is, but oddly no fingerprints nor smudges mar their
gleaming surface.
