A large banister runs around the edge of this balcony, giving you the
perfect view of the ballroom below.  To the west is a door leading to the
second floor guest rooms.  The floor is marble and large hangings fall from
the walls.  The musty smell that seems to envelope the hotel seems lessened
here, possibly due to the openess of the balcony.  Looking straight ahead,
your eyes level on the huge chandelier that lights the ballroom, its design
more intricate than any other that you have seen.
