The rancher likes his barbecue, if the blackened grill over the firepit
on the west side is any indication.  Along the south side is a well-dented
counter, with various dishware and eating utensils occupying some shelves
above the counter.  In the center of the kitchen is an island counter, but
its surface has been reserved for the keeping of assorted fruits and
vegetables.  
     An island counter is in the center of the kitchen.
