An enormous pile of old, burnt wood rises up in the distance to the
northeast, just beyond the lumber mill.  Coarse stones make up the rocky
path that leads to the north and west.  The rugged Auryn landscape opens to
the south, just past the town gate.  The distinct smell of a recently
extinguished fire lingers heavily in the still air.
