Black, charred wood is piled tens of feet high in this enormous heap of
timber.  From the top of this pile, the village outskirts are easily viewed
in the distance to the east and west.  Large, spiked vines bearing
slugberries gently weave in and out of the amassment.  The wood stack
extends to the south, over the top of which a small, decrepit building is
clearly visible.
