This dusty path leads to the water gardens and to the natives' village,
it is well-maintained padded earth and greenery surrounds both sides.  Far
off in the distance, you can hear the sounds of beating drums, and to the is
the path that leads back to Hotel Hello.  Looking to the northeast, you can
see the island's huge volcano.  Miraculously, grey smoke can be seen
streaming from its center, even from this distance.  
A thorny, red-veined vine twines its way around your feet.
