Here the path curves, and a lonely sign points east, marked : ------>
Chanctonbury Wood.  The animal tracks you saw before continue into this
place, mysteriously terminating a few feet ahead into the woods.  The beasts
in this place are savage, and the Orcs almost as savage and feral.  Expect
no help from the forces of nature either.  The only assistance you can count
on are the occasional Knight of Chanctonbury looking for Orcs to slay,
attempting to win a well-nigh futile war.
