Here the prospective raiders test their endurance against pain.  They
advance to the fire burning before you, expose a named part of their
anatomy, and plunge it into the fire.  How long they can hold the part
within the fire, or the near vicintity of it, is considered how brave they
are.  (Or how stupid)
