A departure from the harsh decor of the rest of the monastery, this study
is actually somewhat welcoming.  Bookshelves line the side walls, while a
polished wooden desk faces the back along with a plain stool.  There is a
ladder in the far corner, going up through the ceiling.  The monks allow
themselves a plain rectangular rug as a luxury, made from the wool of their
own sheep.  
     A large, exceptionally neat bookshelf covers a side wall.
