Paved from flagstones of pure obsidian mined here in the Underground,
Obsidian Road stretches east and west.  Practical and spartan in comparison
with the bejeweled nature of the southern district, simple lamp posts line
the streets.  In each post, a cluster of the vibrant crystals that provide
light for the caverns glows.  At the foot of each house is a unique statue,
from kraken to fury, bearing in golden letters the number of the residence.
