above you.  This area is extremely busy, as it is a main intersection,
despite the fact that it is in an alleyway.  Lights shine out of each shop,
illuminating ribbons hanging from their ceilings.  The path continues
northwest and southwest, into darkness.  
    You sense a hidden life form in the area.
