The cries of gulls and other seafaring birds are coming from the port
just ahead to the west.  The back of the large port trading post is clearly
visible, and the docks extend beyond it to the north.  East, the boardwalk
intersects with a smaller walkway leading to the local reagent shop and
farther on, leads to the Mermish Quarter.  Designed to accommodate residents
and commercial traffic, the boardwalk in this area is quite large, with
heavy rails on each side.
