These could safely be considered the foothills of the Peekos mountains,
yet they are just as dangerous as the towering slopes above.  Here a trail
leads down to the base of the mountains, cutting into the side of a sheer
cliff.  Perilously narrow, the trail is no more than a foot wide in places
and quite treacherous.  Howling winds gust and whip at those trying to make
the passage, continually threatening to pull the clumsy to their death.  The
trail descends the cliff to the west, and joins a well used road to the east
and northeast.
