The perimeter of the shrine is demarcated by the end of the observable
world.  Neither the lava fields of Gath nor the muddy roads of Maradas nor
the serene cliffscapes of Dira nor the coursing streams of Ithrilis flow
here.  Everything just sort of...  Ends.  Where there was solid ground,
there is nothing.  The faint outline of nothingness can be traced like the
silhouette of a new moon, but the eye cannot follow such things naturally,
and must be trained.  The perimeter is not magical, cannot be detected and
does not glow octarine when exposed by the proper enchantments.  The only
way to find one's way around the Shrine of Vandyne is to exercise caution,
and for more reasons than one.
