The ground here has been worn from busy troglodyte feet passing through
endlessly.  This is the most active place in all of Troglodyte Village and
this path is used to travel between the various areas.  The central meeting
grounds can be seen from here and the buzz of discussion among villagers
rings loudly all around.  To the southeast is the place where the elders of
the village meet.  
(  2) A pile of straw resembling a dolly is sitting here.
     A tattered old feather lies here in the dust.
     A small pile of sulfur has been set on the ground here.
