The south is barred by a huge, arched black gate which covers the whole
entrance to the cave.  The entrance is rather majestic for a cave and has
been carved into a high arch.  On the opposite side of this area a large
stalagmite looms, rising from the cold rock floor.  A huge flat boulder has
been placed in front of the stalagmite, blocking a passage.  Unfortunately,
it is much too heavy for most to move and in addition to that requires a
key.  
     A tattered old feather lies here in the dust.
     A small pile of sulfur has been set on the ground here.
