Even in this shadowy section of caves, the view from this height is
commanding, easily covering the entire area as well as a considerable
portion of surrounding passages.  This tower is part of the defenses that
protect the people here, ensuring that no attacking force or rampaging
monster can take them by surprise.  Still, the shadowy wastes surrounding the
tower afford ample cover for a lone individual to move unseen.  A staircase
leads down into the rest of the tower.
