This is the top of a staircase that leads down, into the depths of the
prison.  To the south, the entrance of the prison can be seen.  The prison
seems to have been carved out of a natural cave, as the floor, ceiling, and
walls are all made of nothing but rock.  Even the stairway is carved from
stone.  Faint screams echo from below.  
     A small pile of sulfur has been set on the ground here.
