This part of Rune Forest is eerily silent despite the vast number of
towering oak and birch trees within which you would expect to find many
small creatures.  Movement here is difficult because of low hanging branches
and thick roots, although not impossible.  Damp moss clings to the tree
trunks and there are many ferns nearby.
