Outfitted Maradan Trenches                             -      -      -

Apparently dug from the earth with nothing more than sweat and iron,
these trenches are a testament to the devotion of Maradas' supplicant.  At
least seven feet deep, they are also fully fitted with narrow sections for
sleeping, cooking, and preparing.  Wooden panels make the earth easier to
tread on, and similar boards stabilize the walls from collapse.  Compact
steps dug into the dark brown earth allow the shorter races to peer over the
battlefield, and deeper sections let the tall take cover.  Whoever built
this fortification must have been preparing for a long, hard engagement.
