Deeper inside the hut, there is literally no light present.  A pair of
eyes can be seen in the back, watching your every move.  You try speaking to
the pair of eyes, but you get no response at all.  Perhaps there is a
traditional greeting that you do not know, but you could always try bowing. 
In any culture, disrepect to the chief is not a good thing.
