The musty tapestry-shrouded hallway stops here at the foot of a
magnificent staircase constructed from polished mahogany.  Screams can be
heard in the distance somewhere above you, so whatever lurks beyond these
stairs must be observed with caution.  South from here the musty hallway
continues.
