Stairs Leading to the Upper Gallery                    -      -      -

The wide staircase here leads up into the upper gallery.  The steps,
originally textured, have been worn smooth over the centuries by countless
numbers of feet walking upon them.  The stairwell is very quiet and you can
barely make out the service going on in the cathedral.  You make an effort
to be quiet so you do not disturb the service.  Along the walls, you see the
names and pictures of various men and women who have been important through
the years in the development of the church.
