The stairs are in awful condition as they sqeak with every step you take
on them.  The one above your foot is loose, and the one above that is
completely rotten.  The carpet is a light red color with much darker patches
of red staining it in various spots.  Looking down you can see the cellar,
and a putrid smell rises up from it.  Upward the top of the stairs can be
seen and the sound of the wind howling outside drowns out any other sounds
that may be coming from inside the house.
