This is the Towne Square, the hub of all activity and streets in the
Towne of Rune.  A circular mosaic made of different colored bits of
cobblestone depicts the defeat of the Stone Wizards, and thus the claiming
of the land, is inlaid in the ground beneath your feet.  The northern part
of town square lies just ahead while the crossroads of Yew Street lie to the
south.  
     A tall clocktower stands in the center of the square.
