You are standing in the eastern end of the hallway on the first floor of
the Towne Hall of Rune.  Before you is a magnificent staircase leading up to
the second floor.  South of you is the Council Chambers, where you see
several of your fellow adventurers.  The hallway is perfectly clean, and you
see several people going in and out of the rooms around you.  The hallway
continues to the west.
