You are on a lazy, winding path, surrounded by a light forest of small
trees.  The path you are following looks as if it once may have been a
driveway intended for light carriages, but is now heavily overgrown with
small trees, shrubs, tall grasses, and weeds.  To the north, the path cuts
through a creaking iron gate, leading to the fabled Winterborn Mansion.  The
people of Rune avoid the mansion as it is reknown for spooks and haunts of
the worst sort.  A faded signpost is beside the gate, etched with the word
"WARNING".  The path continues to the south and east.  
     A strangely shaped root has been overturned here.
A thorny, red-veined vine twines its way around your feet.
