This stairway stretches parallel with the hallway, looking over it.  The
steps are short, and look like they have had heavy use.  The rail is made
out of wood, stained to be a deep red color.  The wall has many instruments
of war displayed on it.  You can see light coming out of the opening at the
top of the stairs.  The stairs lead up to the north, and down to the south.
