You are standing at the beginning of a tunnel, leading deep underground. 
Your head is still above the ground, and you can see the weeds growing here.
Far ahead of you is a spire, sticking straight out of the ground, maybe you
can gain access to this tower from under the soil?  Looking down into the
tunnel, you can see only blackness.  To the east is a path, and to the west
leads down the tunnel.
