A fairly short street connecting Bastion Road with Horst Road, Elm Street
is the largest thoroughfare in the northwest quadrant of the city.  Surfaced
with stones from the old prison, if one looks carefully traces of inmate
graffiti can still be found on the carefully laid paving blocks.  
     A small steel trap has been left here, its door wide open.
A tom cat is looking for some scraps of food to eat.
