A set of rickety steps leads up into the gloom of the previous dungeon
level here.  The dying scream of something drifts in on the wind from the
passage to the south and a pungent smell wafts up from below.  Careful steps
and wary eyes are needed to transverse the steps down.  The stairs lead back
up here or the hall heads towards the south.
