A chain mail coif is lying here on the ground.  This tight fitting coif
made out of small interwoven chains of steel links.  The smith that made
this seems to have been of adequate skill but appears to have used a less
than pure steel.  It would give a moderate amount of protection to a
person's head, however a helm would grant considerably more protection.
