Mediums 1 –241 An Abandoned Lighthouse
"Render your judgement on a series of events that have overtaken a lighthouse near Rune."

First, you need to acquire 3 items. A memorial cross (from Rune Graveyard), 3 vials of lamp oil, and a pinch of sulfur.

Go to the lighthouse SE of Rune. Visit the room 'The Beacon' at the top of the lighthouse which has a blazing memorial.

When the area resets (every 6 real hours), take the key from the ground and an NPC named Jack will attack you. Kill Jack and take the key from the ground.

Go back to the entrance of the lighthouse. You will automatically drop the key at the locked door. Jack will reappear here and unlock the down.

Follow Jack down and west.

After the argument, kill either Challaine or Falyria.

In his bedroom, Jack will ask you for the items mentioned above. Give them to him (in any order) and the memorial will be lit.

After a minute the delusional accountant will send you mail with the read aura scroll.

Reaching the top of the lighthouse, you are surprised with how much you
can see from here.  There are two barrels of oil against the wall, and the
beacon itself takes up the center of the room.  Some binoculars and torches
are hung on hooks, making them easily accessible should they be needed in a
hurry.  There is a large mirrored shield that focuses the light from the
flames of the beacon in the center of the room to the wide ocean surrounding

This room is quite organized.  Everything is put neatly in its place.  A
heavy wooden desk and chair sit in front of a window.  A few books are neatly
set on the desk, as well as an inkwell and some quill pens.  At the end of
the desk is a small mahogany table, where the log book rests.  It is dusty
yet still legible.  A set of stairs leads up to the beacon.
An elaborate, broken contraption, adorned with gears, sits silent in the corner.
A dusty book has been bolted securely to the desk here; it lays open to its last entry.

a large closet here where coats and boots would be kept and a bench to sit
on.  A large window is set in the east wall, with a ledge under the window,
large enough to support someone's weight.  This would have been a nice place
to sit and watch the ocean and stars.  In the corner of the room, a metal
railing offers a helping hand to those using the stairs inset in the ground
there.

This small storage closet is built right against the outer wall of the
lighthouse, giving the rounded space a claustrophobic feel.  The various
boxes and cabinets of old logs and supplies refuse to fit flush against the
curvature, causing them to jut out into the limited walking space.  Fresh
air seeps in through a window on the western side, flushing out what would
otherwise be nothing but a musty, stale-aired storage room.

Strong winds shake the stairs as you make your way.  The railing is
severely rusted, having been assaulted by strong winds and the spray of the
ocean.  Seagull droppings are everywhere, making you question whether you
really want to put your hands upon it.

A strong, brisk wind blows in from below.  The railings here have rusted
from the bombarding ocean spray and strong winds that swirl through the
stairwell.  Seagull droppings decorate the floor and railing, creating yet
another obstacle to manage while moving up and down the stairs.

Strong, brisk winds blow in from the window to the east.  Long since
broken, the remnants of the wooden window do a poor job of keeping the
elements outside.  The railings have rusted from the bombarding ocean spray
and strong winds that swirl through the stairwell.  Seagull droppings
decorate the floor and railing, creating yet another obstacle to manage
while moving up and down the stairs.
A bird's nest has been left empty here.

Stepping out onto the landing you are abruptly assaulted by the strong
winds gusting around you.  There is a rusted, rickety railing that keeps you
from a nasty fall.  Several seagulls circle above you, keeping a watchful
eye upon you.

This is a small galley type kitchen.  Cupboards are along each side of
the wall.  A window is in the wall between them.  There is a fireplace here,
which is probably what was used for cooking purposes, as well as heating
purposes for the lighthouse in colder weather.  A few dishes and utensils
still remain on the counter.
A dust covered kitchen cupboard rests against the wall.

This floor was the main living area for the lighthouse keeper.  There is
a large closet here where coats and boots would be kept and a bench to sit
on.  A large window is set in the east wall, with a ledge under the window,
large enough to support someone's weight.  This would have been a nice place
to sit and watch the ocean and stars.  In the corner of the room, a metal
railing offers a helping hand to those using the stairs inset in the ground
there.

A big loveseat is in the corner of this room.  Some blue throw pillows
with intricate embroidery work done on them are set upon the loveseat, as
well as a crocheted afghan.  Pictures of the lighthouse keeper and his wife
are upon a small wooden table.  A large fish of unknown origin is mounted on
the wall over the door.

The subtle scent of jasmine greets you as you walk through the door.  A
large bed sits against the west wall, still neatly prepared for someone to
climb into it.  A large window is open, letting in a soft breeze.  Pictures
and nick knacks clutter up the dressers.  A small closet contains some
clothes and special mementos.
A large oak bed beckons you to climb in for a nap.
