before you represents the most vulnerable point of this system.  For this
reason, the most powerful runes used in this box, which in turn rank as the
most powerful runes known, stand here, guarding the one exit to the chest.
To go any further threatens death, but to not entails an eternal existence
of damnation.  Choices, choices.

The tight keyhole is in excellent condition.
The keyhole is the one bit of Xazra's Chest of Daemonic Binding
susceptible to attack, although only by non-demonic forces.  The Xazran
monks actually had no real use for a keyhole on the box, but included it for
such circumstances as this.  In the event that a monk did accidentally
become trapped within the chest, they could fight their way towards the
keyhole, and slip out unmolested.  The runes to the south are the strongest
in the box, requiring decades of concentration by the most practiced of the
temple masters.  Only non-demonic forces may enter the area immediately
adjacent the keyhole; now that you have made it, best slip out before the
demons realize your progress.

  The main inhabitant of this room leads a very ascetic lifestyle.  A
wooden cot with a blanket hangs to the east side.  Uneven grey bricks
provide the shelter for this room.  There are no wall hangings, tables,
chairs, flowers, or anything even vaguely ornamental or even aesthetically
appealing within this room.  It is less than bland, it is thoroughly
uninviting.  However, it is likely there are things coming that are even
more uninviting.
