the touch as the tunnel floor changes from granite to hard packed soil.

A giant sentry ant of the royal guard is here, protecting the queen.
'Halt!' a guard ant exclaims. 'Who seeks audience with our noble ruler?'
A guard ant glares at Lisha sternly and reaches for his weapon.

  You are inside the chamber of the queen ant.  The floor is soft, and
taking a closer look you notice that you are standing upon a mound of ant
eggs.  The walls are scarred with scratch marks and the air is colder than
elsewhere in the tunnel system.  
The queen ant is here, enraged by your presence.
