Obtain the gems (astrals) from the Ash Dragon, Archmage of Fire, Unseelie General, Lady of the Lake, Shade of Lord Templeton, Vyst, and Yourban. Once you have acquired them all, journey to the bottom of Hellbent and visit the monk in the galaxy of stars. There are certain places that you can recharge your Orb of Powers also, choose wisely when he asks you to choose who you are going to devote yourself to. |

Standing in this room offers you one of the strangest experiences of your
life. While you can clearly see the walls of the cavern, there is a
horrible feeling of despair and hopelessness here that is almost too
overwhelming to be contained by normal space. You can imagine it extending
off into infinity in all directions, and although the experience is painful
it gives you a new perspective on reality. Perhaps this is what happens
when a part of the world becomes totally isolated from the astral plane, and
withers away because of its lack of access to dreams or thought.
**A lonely monk sits in the middle of the room deep in meditation.
'You carry the seven gems of power Tejon.' the hermit monk says to you. 'Long time I have sought out these gems to help bring balance to the world. One day after having fasted for three days I was deep in prayer to the powers in search of knowledge and to find my place in the world. I was startled by a vision of seven spirits, each having a brilliance so powerful I was unable to look upon them but I could easily distinguish between them by the power they represented.'
'I was chosen to bring together the gems of power as the men who had been given them lost them or had misused them.' the hermit monk says to you. 'The friars and priests of this world could not understand what I was doing, some thought I was seeking power and others called me crazed but what I was doing had a greater calling. Balance demanded that these gems be gathered up and returned to the powers and by doing so a new gift would be given to the one who brought them together.'
'And now for your reward, in a word you may become a disciple of any one of the powers.' the hermit monk says to you. 'To which power do you wish to devote yourself to: Dira, Ithrilis, Vandyne, Gath, Maradas, Life, or Death?'

'When you have used the power of this orb you should seek the friar of Vandyne.' the hermit monk says to you. 'When you get there, with the orb in hand, announce in front of all present, I am a disciple of Vandyne. Showing your faith in such a manner will cause that the friar restore your orb's power.'
'You can also bring it to me, again announcing your discipleship for instant recharging instead of having to wait.' the hermit monk says to you. 'I know this can be a lot to remember so I left some instructions with the orb, you can type look instructions to see that.'

A small note holding instruction for use reads:
To use the orb, hold it in your hand and type USE ORB. A beautiful
faerie familiar will appear before you which you must light as a light
source and hold it.
To recharge the orb you have two options, visit the friar of Vandyne in
Xaventry or visit the hermit monk in the bowels of Hellbent Mountain. With
orb in hand, pronounce the words, 'I am a disciple of Vandyne!' for all to
hear. The friar will start a charge on the orb which usually takes about
two alyrian hours but possibly more. The hermit monk however, having much
greater faith and power, will be able to instantly charge your orb allowing
you to use it again immediately.
