Update 25 July 2009: It seems that you must do it without a weapon, and without casting (except calm at the end, unless you're using herbs). As You said you can't use any spell except calm. But before fight you can dispel mob and cast slow on him, so it will make you easier to get mark at 120 level. Worked for me. |

calmed at barely Also: I slowed him and plodding fugue during a fight, fled, healed him and myself up and fought him again. I got it then :D So yeah as long as his hp is 90%+, it should trigger it. You could spell him up during combat and just flee and re-trigger him. The only spell I used other than calm is cure blind and it still worked. |

I think maybe you are allowed to cast healing spells on yourself but you can't use offensive spells. I casted cure blind and it worked. |

You may also get other people in the room with you to heal you up ;) Just be sure to let them in first, or wait till you're fighting before they walk in. |
