NPC: Thumper Van Pelt
Long Desc: A tree-sized ogre stares at you passively, avoiding a fight.

Thumper Van Pelt is, if such a thing exists, a tamed ogre.  Raised as
another son by the patriarch of the Van Pelt family since being discovered
on the shores of the River Cothryn, Thumper acts as a fully integrated
citizen of civilized society in general and of Rune in particular.  This is
not to say he is not still an ogre- his language is fractured and ogrish,
but he generally restrains his most violent, brutish behavior to other
willing, inebriated participants in the Perplexed Otter, and the occasional
foray into the city limits by one of the Witches.  Barring such behavior,
however, he maintains the self-control necessary to sit here, and perform
his civic familial duty, exchanging suitably violent items for Reward Units,
a rather common name for a form of pay-what-you-can-if-you-can taxation
started by Lord Agrippa in an effort to keep Rune - and the Council of Seven
- in existence.
He is a ogre approximately 7'8" tall.
