NPC: A young gloomwing
Long Desc: A large bat-like creature rests on two legs.

Gloomwings are similar to Alyria's bats, but much larger, and originated in
a spectacular example of parallel evolution.  Originally from the same
domain as the foreign djinn, they made it to Alyria at some point, but have
never become a dominant lifeform.  Too large and scary to be tolerated by
most humanoids, they require too many calories to sustain themselves in
large groups.  For this reason, and because aggressive ones are hunted by
terrified would-be prey, they are rarely seen outside of the darker, higher
corners of the underground.
It is a gloomwing approximately 2'6" tall.
